About us

Two high-school sweethearts, one very long way round.

Roshan & Dikshya · Darwin, NT · by way of Nepal

The short version lives on the home page. This is the longer one — for anyone who wants to know who's actually behind the camera, and why we keep pointing it at our own lives.

We're Roshan and Dikshya, and we go back further than most. We met in high school in Nepal in 2014 — two kids who fell in love and somehow never grew out of it. Everything since has been a version of that same story: chasing the same horizon, sometimes from opposite sides of the planet, and always finding our way back to each other.

Why “the pretty world”

Because a life stretched across two countries is genuinely beautiful and genuinely complicated, and we got tired of feeds that only ever show one of those. We wanted a place big enough for both — the sunsets and the visa paperwork, the wedding and the homesickness. Pretty, but honest about it.

We're not here to perform a perfect life. We're here to document a real one, carefully enough that it stays beautiful.

The long way round

How we got here

Ten years, two countries, and a lot of one-way flights.

  1. 2014

    We meet

High school, Nepal. Two kids who fall in love — and never quite grow out of it.

  2. 2016

    First passport stamps

Our first trip abroad together: Thailand. The beginning of a lifelong habit.

  3. 2017

    Dikshya flies first

She moves to Sydney, Australia — and the same horizon suddenly sits an ocean apart.

  4. March 2018

    The ring

Roshan proposes. Long-distance becomes a plan instead of a problem.

  5. 2018

    Together again

Roshan moves to Australia to join her. Home becomes a small life in Sydney.

  6. 2021

    North to the Top End

We trade the city for Darwin — red dirt, big skies, and a slower kind of pretty.

  7. Bali

    We get married

Two families, two cultures, one afternoon by the sea. We said yes properly.

  8. Now

    The Pretty World

Pointing a camera at all of it — the highs, the mundane, and everything in between.

There's more where this came from

Read the journal, watch the films, or — if you're a brand whose world fits ours — let's make something together.
